Introduction to Death Journaling (webinar)

Join community doula and educator, Francesca Lynn Arnoldy, for an introduction to “Death Journaling,” based on her new book, The Death Doula’s Guide to Living Fully and Dying Prepared. During this workshop, participants are invited to reflect back, turn inward, and plan ahead with intention and insight, focusing first on introspection and then extending care to others. Francesca Lynn Arnoldy is a community doula and death literacy advocate. She authored Cultivating the Doula Heart: Essentials of Compassionate Care (a guidebook) and Map of Memory Lane(a picture book), as well as the forthcoming workbook. Francesca is a researcher with the Vermont Conversation Lab and she was the original course developer of the University of Vermont’s End-of-Life Doula Professional Certificate Programs. Patty Brennan

Patty is the owner and visionary force behind Lifespan Doulas. For 40+ years, she has been a doula, midwife, educator, author, nonprofit executive, and entrepreneur. Patty has personally trained over 3,500 people to become doulas. She is the author of "The Doula Business Guide: How to Succeed as a Birth, Postpartum or End-of-Life Doula," 4th Edition, and accompanying Workbook. In 2025, she published her most recent book, "Into the Fog: Navigating My Mother's Journey Through Dementia" which is both a memoir and guide for family caregivers.
