Doula Business Mentoring Guidance & Support for Your Next Steps

Doula Mentoring is for you if . . .

You are a new doula, feeling daunted and overwhelmed about how to get started.

You have some experience serving families, but you have never felt confident about the business side of doula work.

You have never been self-employed before and need a business doula. (That's me!)

You are feeling isolated, discouraged, or "stuck" since completing your training.

You would benefit from some accountability for your progress in creating a doula business.

You are a seasoned doula business owner and need help thinking strategically to grow your business.

Meet Your Mentor, Patty Brennan

I have been a self-employed business owner since 1980, essentially  most of my adult life. As a doula trainer, I have trained over 3,000 doulas. I understand the challenge (and accompanying emotions) of taking this work out to your community after completing training. You are not alone if you are feeling daunted, isolated, and unsure. It's lonely at the beginning.

As your business evolves, new challenges and vulnerabilities will manifest and you will find that you always need to devote a percentage of your time to working on your business, not just in your business. There is the thing itself (doula work) and then there is the selling of the thing. These call for very different mindsets and skill sets.

Doula mentoring can focus your efforts and help move you out of inertia or frustration by providing structure, guidance, feedback, and accountability for your efforts. I will help you capitalize on your strengths to evolve a rewarding doula business, wherever you are in the process. Persistence will be your friend.
