How End-of-Life Doulas Help Families in Crisis (webinar)
With Author Jane Callahan, EOLD and host Patty Brennan
When a person enters hospice late or suddenly after unexpected bad news, families often spiral into crisis mode, unsure of next steps while grappling with their loved one’s limited time. In this webinar, Jane Callahan will share strategies for helping patients, families, and friends find peace and clarity amid high emotions and uncertainty. Together, Jane and attendees will discuss:
- a framework for helping loved ones say what they need to say,
- how to protect peace and safeguard family time amidst chaos,
- how to incorporate elements of psychological first aid, and
- overcoming common challenges to seeing these efforts through.
This session is appropriate for new and seasoned end-of-life doulas.
